was born just outside of Warsaw, Poland. M. Chelchowski, a champion Bodybuilder on the national team, began to paint as a form of relaxation. Several years and a couple of exhibitions later, he began viewing painting in a new light, that is, painting became his new life. He is educated artist from Poland . His paintings have been featured in many solo and group exhibitions in Europe and also many art shows in USA , including two in New York - Madison Square Garden and Agora Gallery - Soho. He has since become an American citizen, and continues to work on his art, depicting land and seascapes in oil , watercolor, and abstract in acrylic. M . Chelchowski had established his unique form of realism which explored the mystery and magic of land , the water and the sky. Painting landscapes and abstracts is one of his primary joys. Expressing the essence of the landscape , abstract and the emotional content of his subject is what he strives for . The imagery is both turbulent and peaceful as nature is both action and repose at any given time. The .strength of his drawing skill and composition are evident in every painting . |

Artist statement Everything around gives me inspiration for painting. I paint interesting views or I just take ideas from landscapes and I paint it in my own way, or how i would like to see the scene. Many of my paintings show you my views on known scenes and you see big differences from reality. Every painting or drawing is a part of my heart. Shows what I love and what i want to see.
